September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer is the second leading cause of death for children, behind accidents. However, according to the American Cancer Society, more that 80 percent of children diagnosed will survive five years or longer because of medical advancements.

Diesel fuel average prices jumped from a summer low of of $2.310 per gallon on Aug. 15 back up to $2.409 per gallon just in time for the Labor Day weekend last week. And, as the weekend ended, the prices barely lowered to $2.407 per gallon, according to the Energy Information Administration.
The average price per gallon is still almost 13 cents lower than prices were a year ago this week.
