Backhaul and Track Logistics d/b/a BAT Logistics provides transportation solutions to the shipping community. Our core strength is full truckload services in dry, refrigerated, and rail commodities. Our services are executed using key National carriers with a focus on small to medium sized carriers. We operate in headhaul and backhaul lanes both regionally and cross-country. We also utilize Door-to-Door rail services that cover the entire nation. Our industry knowledge and experience using rail transportation gives us a clear and distinct advantage over the competition.

Terms and Conditions for Shippers
BAT Logistics (broker) will arrange transportation of Shippers freight but does not represent itself as a Motor Carrier. For this reason the Shipper should not list BAT as the carrier at any time including on Bills of Ladings. If Shipper inserts BAT’s name on the bill of lading it will be for shipper convenience only and does not change BAT’s status as a property broker. The Motor Carrier contracted by BAT should be listed as such on the BOL.
Shipper will provide BAT with detailed shipping and delivery instructions and description of cargo including any special requirements in writing prior to shipment. Shipper must notify BAT if cargo value will exceed $100,000 at the time of booking load. Customer will be responsible for any extra charges assessed by carrier due to a deviation from the agreed terms including weight, pallet count, product commodity among others.
Shipper agrees to pay BAT’s invoice within 30 days. A 3% interest charge will be added to all invoices monthly after 40 days.
BAT Logistics will follow federal law and guidelines when dealing with Freight Claims 49 U.S.C. § 14706 also known as the Carmack Amendment. While brokers such as BAT aren’t liable for losses under the act, BAT will assist Customer in filing claim with Motor Carrier who is liable by providing any needed information and assisting in the communication process. BAT will remained involved throughout the process to ensure claim being properly handled by carrier. BAT’s has a minimum claim amount of $250.
