Diesel prices are steadily climbing, reaching an average $2.407 per gallon this week. This price is 2.5 cents more than last week’s prices, and 5 cents more than prices two weeks ago, according to the Energy Information Administration.
The good news is that a year ago, prices started to fall after this week. If diesel prices follow the same pattern as last year, lower prices could be on the way.
Average prices this week are 47.7 cents less than last year’s prices this week. The last time we saw average prices above $2.40 was November 2015.
