National Accounts Team Leader

Join our National Accounts Team as a Team Leader!

The National Accounts Supervisor provides leadership, direction, support, and feedback to the National Accounts Team while overseeing the scheduling of pick-up and deliveries of customer loads. This role must be able to think analytically and be able to make decisions on the spot, in demanding and rapidly changing situations, while maintaining professionalism. Ability to be a team player with ability to collaborate with internal operations, accounting resources, as well as external vendors, shippers, customers, and carriers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Helps interview, hire, and train new staff
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the team
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Fosters a culture of innovation and engagement
  • Drives team members to provide exemplary service
  • Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy


  • Negotiates freight rates with customers
  • Bids on dedicated contract opportunities
  • Communicates market / capacity trends and bids based on market conditions
  • Develops, maintains, and grows existing and new customer relationships
  • Understands business trends and develops strategies regarding these trends
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Understands and meets company targets
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in Freight Brokerage or Transportation required
  • Previous experience in customer service required
  • Previous experience supervising others required
  • At least five years related experience required
