Join our Operations Team as a Carrier Sales and Logistics Specialist!
The Carrier Sales and Logistics Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Council Bluffs, IA. This position is responsible for sourcing and securing carrier capacity, negotiating carrier rates, and managing daily load tenders to ensure timely and efficient transportation solutions. The specialist will monitor shipment status, proactively resolve service issues, and maintain accurate documentation and updates in transportation management systems. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with carriers and internal teams, managing pickup and delivery appointments, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and carrier standards. The role also involves building strong carrier relationships, supporting customer service efforts, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, service, and operational efficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier companies and drivers.
- Sales and Sales Operations capabilities to negotiate rates, secure capacity, and support revenue growth.
- Analytical Skills to monitor market conditions, lane trends, and capacity fluctuations in order to make informed decisions about routing and carrier selection.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment, prioritizing multiple shipments and deadlines.

- At least two years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is required.
- Experience with high-volume freight is preferred.
- Proficiency with common office software and transportation management systems or willingness to learn.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred but not required.
- Rotating on-call
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
